Robbie Meade's early experience with rock, dance, and show bands helped him land a position with David Julian and the Playmates, A Las Vegas Showband. In Las Vegas, Robbie played at The MGM Grand, The Frontier, The Mint, and The Sands. Traveling north from Las Vegas, he spent time playing at The Historic Nevada Lodge in North Lake Tahoe and in Reno at Fitzgerald's
        Robbie moved back to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia to co-found a show band called Nyte Flyte .With his bandmates, Robbie took Nyte Flyte around the country.
        Steadily onward and upward, Robbie spent some time with Instant Karma, a rock group that gained notoriety in Virginia Beach and in San Francisco.
       With 1998 came the launch of The CalypsoNuts, a brilliantly designed duo that focuses on the fun," islandy" styles. Robbie says, "The CalypsoNuts are designed to be the party band's party band, from slow stuff to relax and listen to, to full tilt, shake it 'till you drop, dance music, and all with "THE SHOW" in mind". With his partner Lynley Tolls, Robbie is bringing smiles to audiences near and far.
